Cuzco and Salkantay is a mixture of the historical with nature. The tour of Salkantay is to immerse yourself in the ancestral Inca Trail, we will have a unique view of the landscape that it keeps between snowed mountains, valleys and rivers as well as observing the experience of the Andean man.

Arrival to the city of Cuzco, recieved and transfered by a representative of our agency to the selected Hotel. Rest of the day free to acclimatise at the height of 3,350 m.s.n.m. Approx. Briefing at the Hotel to give the last recommendations of the tour, at approximately 18:00.

4:30 in the morning I pick up from the hotel, we will begin our journey in our Tourist Transport passing through high Andean towns, at approximately 9:00 a.m. We will arrive to Mollepata where we will have a delicious breakfast and it is from this point where we will start our trek until we reach Tres Cruces, the place where we will have lunch with a spectacular view of the Limatambo Valley. After we will continue our walk towards Markokasa. From Choquekiclla we can see the Apus Salkantay and Humantay. Approximately 16:30 p.m. we will arrive at Soraypampa, (3500 masl or 20.671feet), where we will camp.


This day we will pass at the foot of the Apu Salkantay, we will see the lovely geography right below us. In the place called Paso Salkantay we will have an Inca ceremony, through which we will request permission to pass and have a fabulous and unforgettable trip. This ceremony is known as payment to the Earth or Pachamama (Jaywarikuy), we will have lunch at the point called Huayrac, where we will begin to descend towards Challhuay Pampa, following at the same time the course of the Salkantay river. At this point we will have the opportunity to see the more beautiful Andean landscapes, in this place we will camp. (2900 m.s. approx.)


The road is more stable, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the landscape that hides this part, the high Andean forest makes our trip more unforgettable. We can discover many species of flowers, between orchids and ferns, birds of different colors, we will have the opportunity to taste some fruits like granadilla, orange, banana among others. After lunch in the area called the beach, we take a transport that will take us to the hydroelectric and from there we will start a walk to the town of Aguas Calientes.

** Overnight in Aguas Calientes.


(6:00 a.m.) After breakfast we go by the bus that will take us to the Inca City of Machu Picchu, we will have approximately 2 hours to visit the most important enclosures with your guide. Afterwards you can explore the mysterious city to your own rhythm. At a coordinated time we take the bus down to the town of Aguas Calientes. At the agreed time we will take the return train to the Ollantaytambo Station where a transfer awaits us to bring us to the bus that will take us to the City of Cuzco.

Breakfast at the hotel. At an agreed time we will have a transfer to the airport to take our flight out.

The train included in all excursions is tourist, and the train schedule is only confirmed the day before the start of the trip, if you joined a group a day before the start of the tour, we can not guarantee that you travel on the same train as the other rest of the group.
