Day 1: CUSCO – KM 82 – WAYLLABAMBA

In the morning we leave the city of Cuzco (3350 m.a.s.l.) in a tourist mobility through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to KM 82 (2600 m.a.s.l.), a place where we are meeting up with all the groups that accompanies us throughout the expedition. Miskay (2,700 m.a.s.l.) will be the place for lunch and in a short moment of the tour you will see in all its splendor, the largest archaeological site of Llactapata (2650 m.a.s.l.). Already near the camp called Wayllabamba (3000 m.a.s.l.). The walking duration is 6 hours, with a temperate climate. Included lunch and dinner.

Day 2: HUAYLLABAMBA – LLULLUCHAPAMPA – PACAYMAYU

We will have a fresh morning together and climb to the most difficult part of this journey, through the valley of Llulluchapampa (3850 m.a.s.l.), we will reach the highest point called Warmihuañusca pass (4200 m.a.s.l.), where we will observe an impressive view of mountains and glaciers, such as Nevado de la Verónica, etc. After a short rest we will descend to the deep valley of Pacaymayu (3500 m.a.s.l.) This will be the place of the camp. Hiking time 7 hours, with cold weather. Included breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3: PACAYMAYU – CHAQUICOCHA – PUYUPATAMARCA

We will have a beautiful day of hiking with an uneven ecological landscape between Andean “Quechua” and tropical forest “Yunga”, through the Inca Trail network. The next step will be Runkuraqay (3900 m.a.s.l.) and the rest of the way will be down, reaching a wide knowledge of important archaeological remains such as Sayac mark (3600 m.a.s.l.), Concha mark and Phuyu pata mark (3580 m.a.s.l.), place where We will be located for a nice camp. Walking time is 6 hours. Mild weather. Included breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4: PUYUPATAMARCA – WIÑAYHUAYNA – PUENTE RUINAS

Early in the morning we will move on to the main Inca archaeological group known as Wiñaywayna “Siempre joven” (2650 m.a.s.l.), where we will visit and have our lunch. After lunch we go to the door of the Sun “Inti Punku” (2780 m.a.s.l.), where we can see the sanctuary of Machu Picchu and Waynapicchu. We arrive at Machu Picchu (2400 m.a.s.l.) and a little while later we continue going down to our camping place known as Puente ruinas (2000 m.a.s.l.). Walking time is 06 hours. Included breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mild weather.

Day 5: PUENTE RUINAS – MACHU PICCHU – CUZCO

It is advisable to visit the lost city of the Incas early in the morning; starting from Aguas Calientes in a tourist bus to the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (2400 m.a.s.l.), getting knowledge about agriculture, astronomy and religion, within the wonderful city of the Incas, accompanied by a professional guide. After having finished the Guided service the client will have enough independent time to continue in the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu by their own, before returning to meet again in the town of Aguas Calientes and take the train back to the city of Cuzco. The climate in Machu Picchu is warm with mosquitoes. Includes breakfast and lunch.
