The City of Cuzco is a magical city that hides many secrets within it, here we will visit our beautiful city, the South Valley where we will find some of the oldest pre-Inca constructions belonging to the Wari culture, the Archaeological Center of Pikillacta, Andahuaylillas, the Sistine Church of America and Tipon which is the Temple dedicated to Water and purification, besides the Sacred Valley of the Incas, The Lost City of the Machupicchu Incas, Maras the natural salt mine, Moray the Inca agricultural experimentation center.

DAY 01: CITY TOUR CUZCO

Arrival to the city of Cuzco, transferred to the reception by the selected hotel. Rest of the morning free to acclimatize at the height of 3,350 m.s.n.m. Between 13:20 and 13:45 hrs., we will begin with the pick up from the Hotel to visit the City and nearby Ruins.The tour will show us the impressive Colonial City built on Inkas foundations; We will visit La Catedral, with a Renaissance structure and beautiful paintings from the “Escuela Cuzqueña”, Koricancha, or Temple of the Sun; considered as the Real House of the Sun of Urin Cuzco. We continue to visit to the four ruins surrounding Cuzco: Sacsayhuaman; great fortress located 5 km from the city, Qenqo; sacred amphitheater, center of adoration to the God Puma and Center of Archaeoastronomy, a place where possible human sacrifices were made, Pucapucara; “Red fort” due to the tonality that acquires its rocks with the light of twilight and Tambomachay; temple to worship the water. The Tour ends approximately 18:00 p.m.

DAY 02: VALLE SUR TIPÓN

– PIKILLACTA – ANDAHUAYLILLAS

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we take off to the South Valley. This tour is known for combining beautiful natural landscapes, Inca architecture in Tipón, pre – Inca Wari architecture in Pikillacta, Andahuaylillas visit in the beautiful Chapel, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”; and don\’t forget about the tasty gastronomy that can be tasted in Saylla, Huasao. In the afternoon we return to the City of Cuzco. Free afternoon.

DAY 03: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

In the morning you will have a breakfast at the hotel, afterwards we have a pick up from the Hotel that will take you to visit the Sacred Valley. During the tour we will visit the Town of Pisaq; picturesque mestizo colonial town, in the same way on Sundays the Mass is celebrated in Quechua, and then we go to the Archaeological Complex of Pisaq; where we can observe large agricultural terraces. Afterwards we will visit the villages of Coya, Lamay, Calca and Urubamba. Buffet lunch will be served. In the afternoon we will have a guided tour of the town of Ollantaytambo, where the archaeological park of Ollantaytambo is located, a gigantic administrative agricultural social and religious complex in the time of Tahuantinsuyo. Returning to Cuzco we pass through Chinchero; another town where we will find Andean Textile Centers.

DAY 04: CUZCO – MACHU PICCHU

Breakfast. At the agreed time, transfer will take you to the train station to start our trip to the citadel of Machu Picchu, 2:00 hrs tour. We will arrive at the Ollantaytambo Station where we will take the train to Aguas Calientes. We will arrive after 1:45 Hrs to Aguas Calientes Station, where a Representative of our Agency will be waiting for us to bring us to the Bus Station. This is where we will take the bus that will take us to the Lost City of the Incas, “Machu Picchu”, the most famous example of architecture Inca wich was discovered in 1911.

We will enjoy a guided tour of the main buildings of the citadel such as: El Mirador, Temple of the Three Windows, The Intihuatana, The Main Square, etc. At the end of this tour we will take the bus down to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we departure by train to the Ollantaytambo station, where a transfer waits to take you to the bus to Cuzco. Arrival to the City of Cuzco.

DAY 05: CUZCO – MARAS – MORAY – CUZCO

Breakfast at the hotel. Our excursion begins with the pick up from the Hotel between 8:00 and 8:30 a. m. approximately, to start off our visits:

MARAS: Located to the west of Cuzco at 3300 m.s.n.m. From there you can see the Urubamba mountain range and the snowy summits of “La Verónica” (5682 m.s.n.m) and the “Chikón” (5530 m.s.n.m). Its occupation began when the Cusquenian nobles of the Inkario were stripped of their palaces in Qosqo and they had to leave to settle down in other small towns like Maras. It has a church made of adobes, typical of the religious architecture of the town, inside the church are kept canvases of the Cusqueña School.
MORAY: It is located about 7 km southwest of Maras; It is a unique archaeological group in the region. These are gigantic natural depressions or pits on the surface of the land that were used to build terraces or agricultural platforms with their respective irrigation channels. It is therefore a prototype of a greenhouse or biological experimental station that is quite advanced for its time. that the American man of antiquity inherits to the humanity a 60% of the vegetable products that he consumes, that the Andean man consumes a thousand and a half of diverse varieties of potatoes, a hundred and a half of corn, and many other products. In the afternoon we return to the City of Cuzco. Free afternoon.
